Welcome to Gmatclub. Things are not gone well for you. You need to put a lot of hard work. I am not sure why you want to take the GMAT exam? Are you going to apply for MBA? If yes, then why you want to do it? Which schools are you targeting? It is really important to know which schools because the more strong school you choose, the more you need to put work.

Your current profile and history suggest that there will be too low chances for the top 50 MBA programs. You must get an exceptional GMAT score (740 above) to overcome your lower academics. You need to take some hobby, volunteer and start making an impact in every field. If you do not achieve anything, it would be very difficult. As per your plans, you need 203 years more. YOu will be 30 at that time and your chances will become weaker at that age.

As a suggestion:
1. Ask yourself - why you want to do MBA?
2. Is there any other way by which you can get your dream job?
3. You need to act quickly on everything (professional, volunteer, hobbies, GMAT, etc)
4. Choose schools where you want to go and ask why?

I hope it helps.

Hello forum members , I have completed my engineering degree from a 3rd tier Indian University with extremely bad academic records ( 53% in class 12 and 59% in b.tech which I could pass in 5.5 years ) and I have never participated in any extracurricular activities .

after graduation I could not get job for the next 4 years but at the age of 27 I got selected in India's 2nd largest public sector bank (= panjab national bank ) as an assistant manager , after passing IBPS Po exam .
Now I want to take GMAT exam after 3-4 years of preparation because I don't have required work experience .
Kindly advice me on my profile improvement during this period .

From this year I would get experience of working in credit department and after few years I can get chance to work in forex , treasury etc departments or I can become branch manager ...would these kind of work experience be helpful ?
Should I take CFA or Frm exams ?
Any other advice for me ?

Thanks in advance .

Here's the thing.

Finding a job - any job - often takes time.

I do not feel that you are being realistic with your job search timeline. And, I totally can relate. One of my friends is now working on a factory job, making large wooden crates in a dingy warehouse. Good luck with your goal.
