I am a consultant in financial service in France and I am wondering which one of the following opportunities could help me in getting into INSEAD MBA (septemer 2022 intake):
- Stay in France and work as an auditor for a top investment bank (tier 2) in their Audit And General Inspection Division : high level audit assignments with access to the top 20-40 people in the insurance branch of the company. 30% of the work is done in other countries where the company is located (Europe, Africa, Asia). I will be able to save 15-20% of the MBA costs with this opportunity
- Go to another country (Gulf Region) and work for a local insurance company as an analyst: english environment, international experience + I want to settle in that region after my MBA. With this opportunity, I will be able to save 60-70% of the MBA costs with this opportunity.
Could you give me your thoughts about these opportunities and if you think one of them is better, please let me know.
Thank you in advance :please

Consider the criteria: academics, leadership, contribution, international orientation. Taking an analyst position sounds like you would have trouble providing some good stories and anecdotes around leadership and impact, both very important. I think it would be better to work in a position where you can create demonstrable impact leading up to your application. Since you are going for September intake, you can spend P5 in Abu Dhabi and recruit for MENA jobs there. However keep in mind there is no internship period for September intake so switching industries would be more complicated. Hope this helps AbuKaizen

I would make it dependend on what exactly the content of the second job is. Due to the international exposure, a job in the Gulf region will be interesting for you from the INSEAD perspective, if you are an European. Can you give a bit more detail what the job would be all about?
