I think one important question is why you still want to get the MPH even though you want to break out of the healthcare industry? Having said that, it's possible, but you also have to keep in mind that you're going to have to go into the admission process with a clear mind of what you want to do, because that's what the essay/interview will ask you. To not have a clear direction of what you want to do post-MBA is basically shooting yourself in the foot. Let's say that you do get in, you're going to have to focus on getting a summer internship. What will it be? Will it be healthcare-related? If so, you're going to have a very hard time to "escape" out of healthcare after you graduated because you still have no exposure to whatever other industry that you're interested in, i.e. banking or MC. So my suggestion to you is to have a very clear idea of what you'd like to do after you get an MBA. This way, you'll have an easier time to write your essays, to do your interview, also to get the summer internship (hopefully) that can expose you to the industry that you want to be in post-MBA.
