Hey everyone - can you assume in this TTP Catch-Up rate question that the cat can't run faster than the dog? And therefore in all similar problems that the object that leaves first definitely travels slower than the the second object unless stated otherwise?
Here it doesn't specify that the cat can't run more than 11 mph but the answer explanation given seems to assume as such without stating so. The answer tests the cat running at 11 mph and 6mph while the dog runs at 12mph. At 11 mph the dog catches the cat in 55 minutes while at 6mph the dog catches the cat in 5 minutes so both statements are insufficient.
