Hello guys,
I have taken many of the Gmatclub's tests recently and my scores fluctuated arround 46-51.
How it is possible to answer 100% 500-lvl questions right, get 3 600-lvl q's wrong and 4- 700 lvl wrong as well to an overall of 30/37 correct and get a poor Q46/62%?!?!?!
I also took a test in which I got 30/37 correct with 2 600-lvl wrong and 5 700-lvl wrong and got Q51/98%.
I mean that's a hell of a difference, innit?
Is that possible actually?
It is not the % of right and wrong answers that count towards the final score, but rather the variation in the difficulty level for your section. If you answer 500 level right, then 600 level right, then 700 level right and after that you get 700 wrong, system will throw at you a 600 level question. You answer it incorrectly, it throws you another 600, you answer incorrectly - at this moment, the difficulty level will drop to 500 level again, and you start from the same point...again...
the
GMAT Club tests are pretty accurate. I can tell from my personal experience.
Hello mvictor,
I know how the test is built, but how it is possible to answer the same answers incorrect at 2 tests (7 incorrect on both) and almost the same difficulty (1st test- 7 incorrect, 2 600-lvl & 5 700-lvl wrong, 2nd test- 7 incorrect, 3 600-lvl & 4 700-lvl wrong), and get 5 whole points down?
I am aware that if you make a lot of mistakes at low lvl qs your score will drop easier than if you answer incorrectly higher lvl qs, but it is almost the same here and the score is pretty down.
I mean can a 600 lvl q account for 32% decrease? Don't think so. (I don't hope so actually
