A: Each school is different, so you must pay close attention to what type of information the application requires. That said, typically the applications ask for overall GPA (major + minor + non-major/minor courses.) Though less common, applications may also ask for your major GPA. Bear in mind, you will submit your transcript so the schools will likely calculate what they deem to be your relevant GPA on their own.
2. Is the CGPA to GPA conversion done by dividing CGPA by 9.5 (traditionally) or dividing it by the highest CGPA in the course?
A: CGPA is calculated by obtaining the mean of the GPA that a student is awarded every semester and is divided by the total number of credits. Is this relevant? Just follow the instructions of the school's application. If you have any doubts, you are best off emailing or calling the admissions office so you're getting the information from the right source.
