Hi,
I took my GMAT today, and feel very disappointed to see a V35 score.
Expecting to see V38-V41, I could not resist and ordered an Enhanced Score Report (ESR). In fact, ESR shows I got around 10-11 questions incorrect. Fine, accepted.
But lets take a look back at how the #incorrect questions relate to the verbal score during my practice tests.
MGMAT ( 6 CAT) --> 15-18Q Incorrect --> 37-35
GmatPrep ( 6 CAT, yeah I purchased both the EPs --> 8- 12Q Incorrect --> 38 - 40
I know the CAT algorithm is sensitive to multiple factors - incorrect questions in 1st 10Q, continuous incorrect questions, etc.
Since, I gave 12 CATs in total, so it is not unreasonable to expect a score in the range of V38 with 10-11 incorrect questions. After all, it is the duty of the test meter to average out such variability.
So, I think the test meter was too thrifty to raise the difficulty level for me
What should I do - retake or challenge ( if that is an option ) ?

This is the typical situation of what happens when you get too many verbal questions wrong at the beginning. I had a GMAT prep test where I got 11 wrong and got a V34. This included getting the last 11 in a row correct to finish the exam. If you get too many questions in the first half of the verbal section wrong you just won't recover.

2) What materials have you used?
3) How have you scored on each of your CATs (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores)?

5) When are you planning to apply to Business School?
6) What Schools are you planning to apply to?
