I am 32 years old and I am from India living in NewJersey. I have been is U.S for the past 10 years.
My profile information:
My previous roles: Manufacturing Engineer, Manufacturing Supervisor, Senior Quality Engineer, Six Sigma Black Belt.
Current Role: Work at a pharmaceutical company as a Product manager. I manage a cross functional team of 14 people.
Work Experience : 7 years
Education: B.S in Mechanical Engineering from India; M.S in Industrial Engineering from Montana state University(GPA:3.6)
Extracurricluar: Member of different professional groups; Vice President of Indian students association-Montana State University.
Awards: Have got Employee Choice Award couple of times for superior performance.
Interests: Tennis, Public Speaking, Teaching
My first GMAT score was 510. I'm retaking it again on September 20. I'm hoping to get atleast a 650.
Can you guys comment on my chances of getting into Stern Part time MBA progmam (spring 2013)?
Suggestions are welcome....

Right now with a score of 510 it's going to be a low chance. Your goal is to get a 650 - hopefully you are within range when you take the exam. You may have everything going great for you - but once you miss your goal then chances of getting into that particular school may fall.
As you are 32, above the average age...you might want to tell a story of why you didn't decide to get an MBA a few years earlier. Certainly the part-time program will have many folks with more years of work experience but be prepared to have this story. Most of NYU MBAs are part-time so you are in luck here. Just make sure your GMAT score is on target and you tell a great story....what do you want to do with MBA after? Is your GMAT imbalanced between verbal/quant? How might you be different?
