It is clear that individual statements does not make any sense. Probable option choices are either C or E.
Lets try combining both the statements.
There are two combinations possible if we combine two statements.
1. CXXXR total - 4 people, Length - 8 linear feet.
2. XXXRXXCXXX - 10 people, Length - 20 linear feet.
