r*t=216 ears of corn per hour (e/h)
r*2.5=216 e/h
r=216/2.5=532/5 e/h
Rate must be in minutes, so we have to divide by 60
(532/5)/60=532/300
We don't have to calculate, we know the number 532/300 is smaller than 2, so Answ is A.

216 jobs in 5/2 hours ; 5/2 hours = 2.5 hours

Rate = 216/2.5 per hour = 2160/25

Rate per minute = 2160/(25 * 60) = 108/75 = Less than 2

Option A

­5/2 hours is 150 minutes --> (5/2)*60

216 corn husked in 150 minutes equals 216/150= 1.44 corn per minutes

Thus answer A
