The way I considered hotels for pricing is, aka dont think of only the stay price... think it in combined -

airport - hotel price to drive
hotel - school price to drive
school to airport price to drive

you will soon figure out that if the hotel is asking 120$ per night, but if they have free airport pick and drop.. the price is worth it, when planning to stay in a 60$ motel

You can stay at a place near the Metra Electric main line (including downtown).

If you are looking to stay somewhere convienent, check out Best Western River north (thats well located), Embassy Suites (better location, but a bit more $), the Omni, the Talbott, are also good choices - none of these are near campus, and area all a good $30 cab ride or so, but they are in the heart of the city, and you'll actually have something to do at night if you want.

When are you coming? Wanna grab a drink?

Thanks Rhyme, I will look into these hotels. Should I wear a tie with school colors or too tacky?

I am flying in on Feb. 18th (sun.) @ MDW, interview on Monday (prez. day). I would love to meet up on sunday if that's ok day for you.

willget800, what day is your interview on?

On Feb. 11-12 I will drive up to Tuck and use that visit/interview as my warm-up. I haven't decided if I will apply late round to Tuck yet or wait for next year.

my interview is on feb 12th...

I am still debating whether to live in my cousin's home (45 mins away) from GSB vs a hotel near GSB

I would skip the school color attempt... just wear something that looks good.

I can do something Feb 18th if you'd like - I'll have to check my calendar, but im pretty sure its open. Drop me a PM and we can plan.
