Hi there people,
Businessconquerer this side. Today, I want to tell you all about HOW I THINK WE SHOULD LEAD YOURSELF TO CHOOSE A B-SCHOOL
So let's get started first
Step 1Know why you want to do an MBA?
Yes, I know Cliche, right?
Alright here's a big secret that most APPLICANTS miss
What is their reason to apply to B-school?
MONEY, I know coz I have seen 6/10 people I speak to say that the money is good in at least one of their reasons.
Well, you can earn money through MS as well. But please find a REAL reason and don't really try to be honest with yourself, what you tell b-schools is your issue.
Step 2
Know your limits
There are people who don't so skip this step
To those who have never scored above 40% in your university or school or you know what I mean, please don't target the top B-schools (it is extremely unlikely that they'll take you unless you got something else up your sleeve)
Step 3
Find what you want from a B-school
Easy?
REALLY?
Fine, let's see. You want a B-school that will help you transition into consulting?
Take any B-school, it will get you there
So why apply to a top B-school?
I'm not telling you that, it's about what you want not what I tell you to want to want
Step 4
Find B-schools that fit into your description
Step 5
Talk to the Alumni and find out what you're getting into
HAAS students are like very cold, none replied to my requests
So why should I apply to HAAS? Why apply to a B-school whose current students don't even want to take out time?
It was just an example. Find weaknesses and then select only 5-7 B-schools that Fit your profile
Step 6
Check out current class profile
See their statistics
See the GMAT and GPA of students
Set a goal of GMAT Score
Step 7
Give the bloody test after proper prep
Step 8
Apply- Fair chance you're getting in
That is how it works
I wish I had seen something like this during my undergrad so I posted it
I know it seems obvious and quite sarcastic but trust me, there are people who can use a hand.
