Chris’s convertible gets gas mileage that is 40 percent higher than that of Stan’s SUV. If Harry’s hatchback gets gas mileage that is 15 percent higher than that of Chris’s convertible, then Harry’s hatchback gets gas mileage that is what percent greater than that of Stan’s SUV?

Equation 1→Chris's Car Mileage=Stan's Car+40% ...
Equation 2→Harry's Car=Chris's Car+15% ...
Let the mileage of Stan's car be 100 litres/hr.
Then Chris's Cat's Mileage=140
Now putting Chris's Cat's Mileage in equation 2 to get Harry's Cat's mileage we get Harry's Cat's mileage=161(140+15% of 140 that is 21).
Now we can clearly see that Harry's Cat's mileage is 66% greater than that of Stan.

\(h=1.15*1.4*s=1.61*s\)
