To those bound for Chicago / Kellogg -- any interest in planning a get together in late August ?

I know its way way early, but the truth is once you get to campus things start fast and theres a decent chance you wont be back at gmatclub to get your contact info. If I don't get into Stanford --> Wharton (50%), reapply (50%)

elhajoui, why would you reapply if you "only" got into Wharton? What career path are you taking that makes it Stanford or bust?

Do remember, applications will probably increase even more next year, making Stanford's chances even lower (that's assuming if you don't get in this year). Good luck with the decisions! Hope you get into Stanford in a few days so you don't have to worry about the choice. :)

I am returning to my company (Bain/BCG/McKinsey), so it honestly makes no difference if I go now vs. in 1 or 2 years. However, I am aware applications will be up dramatically next year, which is why it may not be worth reapplying.
I already went to Wharton undergrad, loved it, but would be nice to see something a bit different...I'd say a real estimate is Wharton 70%, reapply 30% at this point. But Stanford is really where my heart lies...

Ahh, I understand now. Will your company pay for the MBA? How come you didn't apply to Harvard (I don't blame you, but I'm just curious :P). I guess for someone from the Big 3 Consulting and Wharton undergrad, it doesn't make sense to apply to stuff outside of the top 3...

I got dinged by Harvard, which was my second choice. And, yes, the company is picking up the tab for me.

I hope I sound less arrogant now, and you can see the rationale behind my hesitations...
