Hi,
I am very confused about the concept of choosing a college at Oxford. What kind of contribution does a college make to your degree? Also, how do I know the list of clubs/societies available at Oxford? I can get the centers from the Said business school website but where do i get a list of clubs such as Rifle club, rowing club etc?

Having visited Said, I can explain. If I remember correctly, on acceptance you have to then apply to a college but before panic sets in, everyone will get a college. It is just a case of whether you have any preference (large college, small college, female only, etc). The college side will offer the pastoral care. So you will have dinners with your college and potentially live in the college dorms. Some clubs are Said driven but some are college driven. For instance I remember a current student who rows for his college.
