They had a number of Meet n Greet sessions. I got a chance to attend one such session in India. I even reached out to a few current students and they were more than ready to help.

Everyone get an email for and/or talk to the current student assigned to them?

I talked to a mba 2013 named Dave. Spoke highly of basecamp and when pressed about the alumni network he had positive things to say. Can't say I expect anyone to outright say something negative about the school though!

Thanks for posting! Yes, I received emails from a current student as well - really nice and helpful! I mainly asked about the track I'm interested in and about housing in the area. You had a good idea to ask about alumni!

Yeah I am insane right now. I need all the information possible to make this decision. I am emailing an alumni now to find some more info. I asked my 1st year student about calling the COC because their employment report is nice but I want more data. How many to each company? I'd love to see placement by region in a little more detail than a 5-10 state region. I am not sure if all these data points will lead me to a decision but I'd rather see it than not!

clearly I'm a nut job :lol: !

Of course I'll post info about interactions and info I find and I encourage others to do it to help with the decision for those who have to decide or help with preparedness for those who already know they are attending!

Is she coming with you to Pittsburgh? I agree that the partners program seems to be more family-oriented, but it might be just how things shake out since unmarried couples won't usually relocate for just 2 years. Even then, I've met long-distance married people with one person or both in school. Most everyone I know does the long-distance thing - which is what my boyfriend and I will be tackling. But that said, what's to stop your girlfriend from joining the fun with the rest of the Tepper kids! I can see how a mom/dad with young kids may need a strong support system from people in a similar situation, but maybe not so for younger couples?

Hope I'm not shooting myself in the foot or offending anyone...

Don't think that was offensive in any way. She refused to do the distance thing haha I'm okay with that but I warned here I will be busy the entire time. I don't think this would be as big of a deal if the partners program at michigan was not stronger. I think she'd be okay at either but she is definitely pro Michigan right now.

Congrats!! Thats awesome. I got some $'s to Tepper and haven't heard from michigan. I didn't get any from the Ross School but their Ops program (Tauber) gives its own scholarship money though so we shall see. Either way I'm not facing the same financial decision you are.

I like it but I don't really trust FT. They vary so much each year it is hard to draw any conclusions from the rankings. Personally I use Poets & Quants https://poetsandquants.com/2011/12/08/th ... of-2011/3/

It uses a weighted average of rankings based on the guys take on the rankings and if he thinks they are reasonable. That is probably biased but reading the guys articles make me trust him...
