Hi all,
I took my GMAT over a month go and score 730 (Q50, V38).
The rest of my profile is as follows:
1. 10th Grade - 95%
2. 12th Grade - 95%
3. Undergrad GPA - 8.6 out of 10
Work experience:
1. I'm currently working for a consultancy. Have worked here for around 2.5 years, and will complete more than 3 years by the time I start at a B-school.
I do a lot of client-facing work, where the clients are usually from across the globe, i.e. countries like NY, Australia, etc.
2. I also help out in my family business.
Extracurriculars:
1. Participated in all sorts of activities in school like sports, literary events, dance, etc. Head of the editorial board plus the quiz team for two consecutive years.
2. Was a part of the literary society of my college (it has writers, poets, photographers, etc). Also a part of the official dance team. Organised many college fests.
3. Have organised a bunch of events at work, technical as well as fun.
4. Also did a couple of marketing internships for some startups.
5. I travel a lot. Have covered a lot of places in India. Love to trek, have been to many in the states Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
Which schools should I aim for?
I'm interested in the top 20 schools like NYU stern, Booth, HEC Paris, Oxford, UCLA Anderson etc.
Please let me know what y'all think. And if there are any suggestions to improve my profile.

Hi vanshikamunjal,
First off, a 730/Q50 is an outstanding Score, so you can comfortably apply to any Business Schools that interest you. Since you're ultimately asking Admissions questions, you would likely find it beneficial to speak with an Admissions Expert about your overall profile and plans. Those Experts should be able to answer your Admissions questions and help define the specific areas of your profile that could use some improvement. There's a Forum full of those Experts here:

The process of applying to (and ultimately attending) Business School will require a big investment of time, money and energy on your part, so you really should make sure that the Programs that you apply to match your career goals/needs. There are a variety of factors that go into selecting the Schools that you'll apply to. Instead of just applying to Programs that have received a 'high ranking' from a 3rd-party, here are some other things to think about:
1) Is there a particular company that you want to work for or industry that you want to work in? Certain degrees are more appropriate than others if you have a specific career goal.
2) What do you want your MBA to do for you?
3) Do you want to go to School full-time or part-time?
4) Are you willing to relocate? Are you comfortable with working through a program that is primarily online?
5) Are you going to be applying for scholarships?
Etc.
It's okay if you don't have answers to any of these questions just yet, but you really should try to define all of the important variables in terms of your goals, so that you can tailor your entire approach to getting into the best School that matches what you're looking for.
