I've heard that for consultants it is almost impossible to get admitted into Columbia for its August term because consultants are better fit for January term.
Is that the case? Anyone can confirm or refute?

Hi FedexT. That's not the case. I will be joining the August Entry for the Class of 2023 and I know many many consultants in my admit batch.
As for your point of "consultants are better fit for January term", this mostly applies to consultants that are sponsored by their company. For them, summer internships do not matter as they are 100% going back to their company. Hence, they choose to apply for the January term so that they can finish their MBA in 1.5 years instead of 2 years. Hope this helps!
