Apologies, typo on the last message. Undergrad gpa was 3.38.

I would say Columbia is better but my answer is profoundly biased. Columbia has always been my dream school for numerous reasons, but mostly related to it being the epicenter of value investing. So yeah, take my answer with a grain of salt because Stern is also an incredible school with great alumni, not to mention Prof. Damodaran...Studying with him is probably worth a nice chunk of the tuition in and of itself.

Does anyone know what the acceptance rate is for Columbia's EMBA program? It doesn't seem like they like to disclose this stat (or any other EMBA program out there for the matter).

Hello, I am new to the forum, but it has proven really valuable in my application to the EMBA program. So thank you!

Does the group know what percentage of applicants get invited for an interview after submitting the application? I received an invite, but just trying to understand odds.

Any idea if company sponsorship will increase my chances of being admitted?

Has anyone heard from the Ad Comm on how many spots have been filled up or are remaining. I was told that ~140 spots in Saturday and ~140 spots in Fri/Saturday. Just trying to see how many seats people are fighting for.

Best of luck to everyone!

cookingthunder - It takes anywhere from 4-6 weeks to hear back about an interview. I'd assume as the process gets further and there are less spots available, the time may speed up a bit. Be aware it is rolling admission so they review applications as they are received.

bigemilio2387 - Congrats on receiving an interview. That's a huge step to being accepted. They usually do not share how many spots are filled as it is rolling admission and I'd assume they wouldn't want to deter anyone from applying. Everyone needs some sort of company sponsorship to apply to the Fri/Sat so I do not know how much that is taken into account when choosing candidates. I'd prepare for the interview and know your application inside and out. Be prepared to speak on any short comings and also highlight any successes. The interviewer will point to essays or responses to questions and you want to be ready to speak to them in detail. I hope this is helpful and Good luck!

It was pretty simple. Done in 40 mins. Was with an admissions AD. Went through my resume and she followed up with questions around why CBS and now and how it will help. She already had reviewed my application so had knowledge of my background. Mentioned that I should hear back in 2 weeks.
so it was on campus, right?
Could you give us more detail about the interview? and how u answered? Thanks a lot!

The interview will be between 40-45 minutes. I completed mine early in the process and thought it would go longer, but they seem to stick to this time. I believe this is so that all interviews are similar and there is not any advantage. It will be conducted on campus by an admissions team member. My admissions member focused more on the full time program, but also interviewed for the EMBA program. You are provided your interviewer name prior to the interview as this allows you to research them a bit. This is something they told me is new. The interviewer reviews your application and knows details they want to ask you about. Questions will be tailored to your application, but also they will ask why CBS, why an EMBA (part time vs full time), what will you bring to the classroom, etc. At the end of the interview they will give you one last time to let them know anything that may not have been discussed. Be prepared to speak to any short comings on your application as well. It is very conversational. They want to know about you and who you are. Providing how I or another applicant answered doesn't give the admissions member a true read of who you are. I hope this is helpful and let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks! Very helpful, one more question, when will I know the interviewer name? By email or I check on my application website?

Anytime, they usually provide the interviewer a day or so before your scheduled interview. They will email the interviewers name.

Hello out there! Has anyone here been waitlisted for the Fri/Sat EMBA? If so, what specific updates did you provide to AdComs in the interim? Any waitlisted applicants end up getting accepted?
