Hello everyone! I’ve been looking into the Masters in Financial Economics (MSFE) at the Columbia Business School. Regarding this program, can anyone provide information about how theoretical the degree is and what are the exit options in the corporate world? How likely is it that you can break into MBB? I do realise the fact that Columbia is a great brand name both in NYC as well as internationally. Although, how can this degree leverage my goal in securing a good consulting/IB job in the States?
I’m an international student.

The interpretation here is that you will have a chance to compete for roles in consulting and i-banking, but you won't necessarily be a top target as folks from MBA programs. You will have to do lots of networking and preparation to be competitive. Getting an internship is going to be extremely critical.
I would try to talk to a few alumni or students (assuming there aren't any on this board) to get an even better idea of what their internship/full-time job searches entailed.
