I know MS Marketing Science
Columbia is 100% out of my reach not only because of my horrendous GPA but also my profile does not align with what (I assume) this program looks for based n the
class profile. anyway, want some extra perspectives on this
* 29/F Canadian permanent resident
* Undergrad concentrated in finance with a 3.19 GPA, upper division GPA = 3.49 (basically **** up big time for the first half), did well on data and stat courses (and finance courses which are quant-driven)
* 6 years’ working experience at 2 startups, first one i was doing digital marketing (some analytics) and now I oversee the overall marketing functions
* I’m learning Python on my own, slowly because my work is the 12-hour work day type of startup situation
* GMAT: did the test 3 times in 2017, got 700, 690, 700 - I’m open to try again if I have a chance of getting into this program
I'm set on going back to school because 1) i need a career pivot, 2) i love schooling, and 3) I must go to NYC for this venture. my other choices are
a) MS in Business Analytics
Columbia (although this requires GRE)
b) MS in Applied Analytics
Columbia SPS
and backup c) MS in Business Analytics @Zicklin
appreciate any and all feedback!
