Hi guys,
I am thankful for having learned a lot about MBA application processes by lurking around in GMAT Club forums and I have been fortunate to translate those learnings into admission offers from Columbia Business School and Kellogg School of Management. Additionally, I interviewed with Wharton in the first week of June and I am waiting to hear from them by the 28th of June.
Given the fact that schools only inform deferred MBA admitted students about scholarships 6 months prior to matriculating, I am really confused about which of these 2 schools- Columbia and Kellogg (and hopefully 3, if I get admitted to Wharton) to choose just based on their offerings.
My Profile:
I graduated from a top school in Delhi University (India), with a bachelor's degree in Economics, in May of 2022 and I'll be joining McKinsey & Co. as a Business Analyst in August this year. After spending 2-3 years at McKinsey, I hope to matriculate in either of these schools. Post my MBA, I hope to work at FAANG or at an upcoming Tech Startup in the Web 3.0 space in the US itself (west coast preferably) for 4-5 years as a Product Manager or a Product Strategy role, post-which, I hope to transition to Tech Investing (either join the likes of Sequoia in the US or start my own fund here in Asia).
The questions I am having in mind are:
- Given my current options between Columbia and Kellogg, which school is better for my short-term career goals i.e in terms of tech recruitment, which school has an edge?
- In the Long term, which school among these two will provide me with better VC jobs or a better network to start my own Tech investing fund?
- If I do get Wharton, how should my decision change?
Many thanks in advance for your input!
