Hello everyone,
Well...What I am going to say. Need to decide how to move forward with the GMAT prep.
Existing data: 6 months spent on prep for GMAT classic edition, went through
Manhattan books, TTP prep course, numerous videos about the verbal part, even got a tutor for sentence correction, passed official Mocks. Quant is my strength, but I can't say that it compensates for the lack of knowledge in the verbal part in terms of global score ( I am talking about SC mostly here). The result for the verbal in Mocks is v27. The last month is purely dedicated to RC, SC, and CR, so not sure what score I can get now, but definitely not v40 as needed for a good overall score.
So, here is a decision that should be made:
1) Should I proceed with grinding SC and pass the GMAT classic edition?
2) Should I switch to the Focus edition? I have no idea what to expect and how to prepare for Data insights questions. Are they different from IR? Also, I read that DS section from Quant moved to Data Insights. Are those are similar questions as previously in Quant or they modified somehow?
3) Should I continue to prepare for the GMAT classic, and after that switch to the Focus edition? Is there much difference between them, that I don't need to spend again huge amount of time on new preparation? Is there enough time in this case to be ready for Round 2?
4) Any other options or considerations.
