Hey everyone. If I want to apply for my mba and three undergraduate business courses that I didn’t do so well in I can retake at a community college. How do adcoms look at retaking these courses as a non degree student from a COMMUNITY COLLEGE?

I applaud you for showing initiative to demonstrate to the Adcom that you can perform well in business courses. Unfortunately in this case, retaking these classes at a community college will not do much to improve your chances. When the Adcoms review your academic records, they take into account the difficulty of the courses and the academic rigor of the school. They may not be convinced that your performance from a community college course will translate to success at their institution. That said, I would evaluate these 3 courses that you didn't do well in within the context of the rest of your transcript. Are you able to demonstrate an ability to perform well in other quantitative courses? Was there something about these classes that led to your less than stellar performance? Did you have extenuating circumstances to explain the grades?

Yes I got an A in statistics and a B+ in college algebra but these courses are microeconomics, macro economics, and principles of accounting that I did not do well in. Also I was working while taking these courses.
