I have heard that company descriptions are needed for companies that are not household names.
Would this be the case for defense companies like Northrup Grumman, General Dynamic, Lockheed Martin, Raytheon, etc.?
My thought is that most people know the commercial plane companies like Boeing and Airbus, but might not know the ones above.
Hi, yes we do include a SINGLE LINE company description when we help our applicants build their resumes. Sometimes applicants have worked in one known company and one smaller one, in that case, it makes perfect sense to include descriptions for both companies for the sake of uniformity
If its a really large company, you can still give information on the department you work in.
If you work in unknown companies/ startups/ regional companies, then you must include a company description.
Here are a few things that we try to include:
1. the business of the company
2. its size- you can show this in multiple ways: annual turnover; a statement such as the largest French ancillary company with ....; yo can also mention the number of employees.
3. the number of countries it has a presence in
4. in the case of startups- if its funded
some examples could be:
Fintech startup with $15M revenue with over 200 employees
An ITeS organization with over 250,000 employees and $15.9B in annual revenue
(for a Big 4) Financial Risk AdvisoryGroup specialising in Credit Risk Management; Annual Revenue $7M
