Hi Everyone
I am planning to repeat my GMAT in a month or so. I recently moved to jersey city, NJ and was trying to figure out which centre to give the Exam at.
I went through the reviews at gmatclub and found the following 2 centers relevant in new york:
1. Pearson Professional Centers, 100 William St.
2. Pearson Professional Centers, 500 at 5th Ave
however since these reviews were quite old I checked at yelp. There I found some more recent reviews. Based on what I read, here is how I shortlisted the centers:
1. Pearson Professional Centers, 100 William St.
2. Pearson Professional Centers, 19 W 44th St,Ste 507
3. Pearson Professional Centers, 500 at 5th Ave or 1350 Broadway,Suite 1601
If anybody has tested at any of these locations, can you please help me make a choice.
The thing that matters to me the most is the noise free Environment. I scored well before my level the last time precisely because there was too much noise around the test center. If some of you have tested in these locations, can you please let me know if the Environment was quite or not. Also can you please share day and time of your testing, so I can mimic the same. I think the environment around a particular location is highly determined by the time and day.
Also please add any details you might have heard from your friends or colleagues, even if you have not tested at a particular location and they have. I appreciate any information you can provide me about these test centers

Have you visited any of these facilities yourself? All things being equal, you would probably want to choose the Testing Center that is closest to you AND offers the best day/time availability for when YOU perform at your best. The 'variables' that work well for one Test Taker might not necessarily work best for you.
While it's understandable that you would want the ideal set of testing conditions, as a future MBA-holder, you're going to have to be flexible enough to handle less-than-perfect situations. While you may have read/heard some horror stories about unfortunate testing situations, you probably haven't heard about the 200,000+ tests that were administered last year without any problems.
As an aside, after July 19th, the waiting period between GMATs will be reduced to 16 days, so even if you have a "bad day" at one facility, you can reschedule and retest at a different facility relatively quickly.

Hi Rich, Thanks for the response.I am planning to visit the centers myself.But I don't think they let you inside the centre. That's why I want opinions from people who have already tested at these locations. The reason I ask about the relative noise around these test centers is because that is the factor that matters most to me. I can compromise on other factors. I agree with you that I might not get ideal testing conditions and thats ok.
