My vote for D as well. The modifier 'covering all the regions of the entire globe' modifies GPS. No confusion there.

In GMAT, "because" is favored over " due to" and " in that"

---> A and B stand.
Yes, A is wrong for " every regions" ( the correct formation is : every + singular countable noun).

Go for B.
