Thanks for the replies! I am honestly quite stressed since my exam is in 10 days. Should I push it or something? Or can I go ahead and give it?

It really comes down to you, but if you're stressed/tired, you could absolutely push your exam back.

The bigger point, however, is that you shouldn't worry too much about taking/not taking the exam, as there's no deadline pressure. There's a cost implication of course, and you'd use up one of your 5 (rolling 12-month period) attempts, but really not much else. For example, if you take the exam and don't get the score you want, you could simply retake the test and not report your first score to your target schools.

That sounds about right. I gave a mock again and realised my Verbal and Quant scores are back to the normal range. Scored a V82 and Q89. However, I am still struggling in DI. I can't seem to get more than 12 right. Any tips for the same?

Which test was this? Also, you can mark 13-15 correct and still get a DI82-83. If you don't know how to solve the question, bookmark and move on.

First, take another practice test. If you still are not near your score goal, then push back your GMAT.

That depends on whether there's a pattern here. For example, is it a particular question type that's (consistently) throwing you off, or maybe a timing issue where you don't have enough time left for the questions at the end? It could even be something like tiredness or a cold start, but section order is not something I'd advise you to change this close to your test.

V82 is a good score, and Q89 is absolutely amazing, so you're most likely capable of doing really well on the GMAT. All the best.

Thanks everyone for the replies, I gave another mock and got a 645. My Verbal scores are fluctuating a lot. Don't know if I am forgetting concepts.

Any tips to ensure they don't fluctuate just as much?

Recommendations for the Final 9 Days:

  • Simulate Test Conditions: Take at least one official GMAT practice test under timed conditions to assess readiness.
  • Review Mistakes: Analyze errors to identify patterns and areas needing improvement.
  • Focus on Weak Areas: Allocate time to strengthen areas where performance is lacking.
  • Maintain Consistent Sleep: Ensure adequate rest to improve concentration and performance.
  • Practice Time Management: Work on pacing to ensure all questions are addressed within the time limits
Remember, the goal is to approach the test with confidence and a clear strategy. With focused preparation and attention to these areas, improvement is achievable.

Hi Team ,

I have my GMAT scheduled for the 6th of May. I have been preparing for roughly 2 months, along with a full-time job. The Jamboree and OG Tests that I have been giving have been a bit all over the space and I am not able to identify my actual caliber. These are the scores from my last 3 mocks:

OG Practice Test 1-495 ( V77,Q76,DI68)
JAMBOREE MOCK 5- 605( V74, Q86, DI77)
JAMBOREE MOCK 4-655( V85, Q86, DI 78)

I am panicking seeing the OG test score and I am seriously aiming for a 700+. I have 9 days to go. One issue I faced while giving the OG test was feeling sleepy during VERBAL. My exam is at 10:30 but I have been having a few late nights maybe that's the reason I wake up groggy. I seem to run out of time and rush on the last few questions.

I feel really lost here since I am unable to get a clear picture on where exactly I stand.

Hi Team,

Gave an OG mock today. Practice Test 3, and this is my score. Any tips on where I can improve over the last 3 days? I am going to do Verbal sprints to fix my low scores.

Hi SnehaKarthik29,

My take is that the last 3 days is not where you get your big improvement push. If that was the case, why did not you push 30 days go to get big improvement?
Usually the last 3 days is when you get your strategies together, you have a process to approach everything, and you rehearse and you are what's called "protecting your score" so on the test day you get that 655 and 555. Eeking out higher score is unfortunately not something you can get in 3 days. I am just being straightforward, because again, if you could get meaningful improvement in just 3 days then we would all be taking GMAT after 9 days of prep.

I wish you the best on the test and I hope I am super wrong and you walk out with a 705 💪
My one piece of advice is don't worry about the question you just solved or the one coming, focus on the question in front of you. Don't try to judge how well you are doing or how poorly - you won't be able to tell and only waste mental energy. Give 110% on every question.

Hey BB,

Sorry, I missed replying to your message. But you are absolutely right—there is no magic that can make up for consistent practice. I scored 615 ( V82, Q82, DI76). I had more lengthy and non-math-related questions in DI, and that sure did drag me down. So you were correct in predicting my range of scores.
Most importantly, you were right that had I started this mindful analysis and practice, I would have been in a better place. I do realise that I was aimlessly studying last month and was able to pull my socks up only towards the end. But again, good things come at a price, and I do need to push more to make it.

However, I know my caliber and won't be deterred by this score. I'll try again for a 100-point increase and make that a reality :).

I would love some insight from you and Scott on next steps. When do you think I should plan out my next attempt?

Thank you..
bb
