Hi all,
I am in a state of confusion about whom to ask for recommendation. I am applying to HBS and Kellogg. For HBS I need 3 and for Kellogg in need 2 recommendations. I have 2 years of work ex in the same company, and my manager and tech lead are willing to give me the recommendations. Also, I am president at an ngo, where we have two presidents. The other president, whom I am working with from past 6 months, is also willing to ( who btw is 4 years elder to me and working in a consulting firm). I have been the vice chairman of a student organization in my undergrad where I have worked with a prof. I am still in touch with him as I go for recruitment and we are in the process of setting up a lab in my college.
Now the real question is whom should i should choose in the given circumstances. After some research, I saw variety helps, but peer and academic recommendations are looked down upon. In my case, these seem contradictory. I am really confused what to do about it. Please help.

hmm. the president giving rec to another president is kinda weird since schools like supervisors giving recs... i would choose the tech and the supervisor before the prof. schools like WE recs not in school recs...

Peer recommendations are not necessarily looked down upon, in fact some schools ask for them. You sound very lucky to have lots of people willing to write you a recommendation! I would ask your supervisor/lead for recommendations first, and utilize your co-president if you apply to a school that asks for a peer recommendation.
