Probably fair to say no 3rd party would consider their mocks better than the Official Mocks. Perhaps take another Official Mock at an appropriate time to gauge yourself.

Hi Veenu,

GMAC has publicly stated that the Official Score that you earn on Test Day is within +/- 30 points of actual ability. Assuming a similar 'swing' in how your CATs function, your recent CAT score results - along with your Official Score - show that you essentially performed the same each time (about 620 +/- a few points). You handle certain aspects of the GMAT consistently well, but you also make certain consistent mistakes.

Approximately 4 weeks ago, I sent you a PM with some questions about your prior studies (leading up to your first attempt) - and those details are still relevant (especially now, if you have gotten "stuck" at this particular Score level).

In addition to those questions, what specific application deadlines are you facing in June and July?

Hi Veenu21, how have you been preparing?

It is very clear that your Verbal needs a significant improvement, for you to reach anywhere close to your target score. This improvement takes time and effort.

Unfortunately, since you are planning to apply to schools in June-July timeframe, my biggest worry is that you have not been able to find the time that it requires, to move the needle.

Hi Everyone,

I will be going for a second attempt at the GMAT Exam and am aiming for 680-690. I have been studying for 1 month and have taken 3 practice tests but the scores of all 3 are so different that I am confused if my performance is improving or not, and what are my weak areas.

Stats for all exams:

Original GMAT Score: 620
Q 49
V 25

Manhattan Practice test: 620
Q 45
V 31

GMAT Club Test 1: 640
Q 50
V 28

GMAT Club Test 2: 590
Q 40
V 31

I would really appreciate your help.

Thanks,
Veenu

Hi Veenu

These scores aren't that bad, and with the right guidance it seems like a high 600's score is definitely achievable for you. Looking at your scores I can tell that with quant, your concepts are good. However, you may be having consistency problems due to not necessarily following a consistent approach. That can make a world of a difference.

Furthermore, your verbal scores could use an improvement. I think you would need to revisit some of the concepts with a keen focus on methodology to solving each type of question.

Beyond that, It depends on a number of factors. The time you are able to study, the resources you are currently using to prepare, the final exam date.

I'd be happy to get on a call and get into a more detailed discussion ! You can use this link for the same

Hope this helps !
