Hello all, I have been struggling with idioms given in
MGMAT SC book since last week. Although I have made myself familiar with 50% of them but I am still pretty confused about the suspect cases in idioms. Will it be wiser on spending more time on learning/memorizing them as I have to spend time on other sections as well.
Thanks and Regards.
Dear
ssmohanta,
I'm happy to respond.
I definitely would recommend making sure you learn all the "most frequently appearing" idioms --- I believe they are marked in some special way in the
MGMAT book. For the rarer idioms, any particular idiom might appear only one or not at all on your particular GMAT. It's not worth investing a ton of time in every last one of them. Move on to other sections and to practice, and as more idioms arise in your practice, then spend the time to learn them.
Here's a free idiom ebook you may find helpful:

Please let me know if you have any further questions.
