Consider, for example the following sentence in a certain passage:
"Between 1951 and 1971, Venice lost 63000 inhabitants."

The question is:
According to the passage, between 1951 and 1971, Venice lost approximately how many residents annually?

a) 475 b) 3150 c) 6300 d) 15500 e) 63000

The correct choice is B (63000 divided by 20 equals 3150).

I would say that such a question should rather be in the problem solving section than in reading comprehension.

I have hardly come across any such questions on the RC section. One would rather find such Qs related to data interpretation
