Cover LetterMIT Sloan seeks students whose personal characteristics demonstrate that they will make the most of the incredible opportunities at MIT, both academic and non-academic. We are on a quest to find those whose presence will enhance the experience of other students. We seek thoughtful leaders with exceptional intellectual abilities and the drive and determination to put their stamp on the world. We welcome people who are independent, authentic, and fearlessly creative — true doers. We want people who can redefine solutions to conventional problems, and strive to preempt unconventional dilemmas with cutting-edge ideas. We demand integrity and respect passion.
Taking the above into consideration, please submit a cover letter seeking a place in the MIT Sloan MBA program. Your letter should conform to a standard business correspondence, include one or more professional examples that illustrate why you meet the desired criteria above, and be addressed to the Admissions Committee (300 words or fewer, excluding address and salutation).2.
Video StatementIntroduce yourself to your future classmates. Videos should adhere to the following guidelines:
1.No more than 1 minute (60 second) in length
2. Single take (no editing)
3. Speaking directly to the camera
4. Do not include background music or subtitles

Organizational ChartTo help us better understand your current role and the impact that you have on your team and department, please submit an organizational chart. We should be able to clearly understand the internal structure of your organization, where you sit in your organization, and your line of reporting.
Organizational charts should not be more than two pages and keep the following in mind:
1. Give us as much detail as possible (names, titles, etc.) but it’s ok to redact names if you need to.
2. Please circle your role in red so that your position is easily identifiable.
3. Make sure we can easily identify where you are, to whom you report, and if applicable, who reports to you.
4. If your recommender or references are on your organizational chart (they may not be, and that’s ok!), please highlight them for us.

Optional Essay: This is an opportunity for you to share more about yourself with the Admissions Committee, should you choose to do so.
How has the world you come from shaped who you are today? For example, your family, culture, community, all help to shape aspects of your life experiences and perspective. Please use this opportunity if you would like to share more about your background. (Maximum 250 words.)

Reapplicant Essay: For applicants who applied for entry in a previous year, we require that you complete and submit a new and complete application. We strongly encourage you to submit new application materials and emphasize what has changed since you last applied. Reapplicants may submit their applications in any round, and will have an opportunity to highlight changes since their previous application in a short-answer question.
Other Application components:Resume:Submit a 1 page resume that shows job results not just titles or job descriptions.
Here are some pointers on formatting:

Provide the following information in reverse chronological order:
1. Education: Please include relevant awards, scholarships and professional societies
2. Work Experience: Please include company name, title, results-oriented bullets that demonstrate your skill set, and dates
3. Additional information: Please include extracurricular activities/community service, technical skills/certifications, and special skills/interests, and languages spoken (if applicable)
Recommendations:MIT Sloan requires
one recommendation letter, ideally a manager or supervisor.
Recommendation questions are:
1. How long and in what capacity have you known the applicant?
2. How does the applicant stand out from others in a similar capacity?
3. Please give an example of the applicant's impact on a person, group, or organization.
4. Please give a representative example of how the applicant interacts with other people.
5. Please tell us anything else you think we should know about this applicant.
6. Describe the most important piece of constructive feedback you have given the applicant. Please detail the circumstances and the applicant's response.
