Would I be alllowed to answer “no” to the question of being convicted on b-school apps if I had one misdemeanor expunged or would I still have to say yes and disclose it?
I noticed only private schools ask it, like wharton and columbia. Does anyone have experience with this?

Asanchez6,
The requirement to disclose a misdemeanor conviction, even if expunged, varies among business schools. Some schools may explicitly ask about criminal convictions, while others may have broader questions related to legal or ethical issues.
If the question is directly asked, it's generally best to be honest and transparent about your past. Explain the circumstances surrounding the conviction, any steps taken to address the issue, and how you've grown and learned from the experience. Focus on your subsequent behavior, achievements, and contributions to demonstrate your rehabilitation and growth.
While disclosing a past conviction might raise questions, a well-crafted explanation and focus on your overall profile can mitigate potential concerns.
