Ok, I've received a few feedbacks from gmatclubbers who had already interviewed at Cornell and I will certainly do some more research, but if anyone has any advice or anything to add that would be great. I'd driving in on Wed. 14th, hope I don't get snowed in. I will be interviewed by 2nd year student.

Basically: light, informal with no mind tricks? Big on leadership quetsions or teamwork? Why Cornell, why mba, why now?

I did get two teamwork questions so be ready for those

and in the end she asked what three things i shud tell about you to adcom

and they always ask where else are you applying

Mine was very conversastional. I was asked to walk her through my resume and she ended up asking me several follow-up questions as I went along. We also went into short/long term goals.

She was an Adcom Staff member and she also asked which other schools I applied to. I tried to dodge the question a little bit, but she probed further and I caved.

Everybody I know (myself included) got asked that three things question. As for the other schools question, just say this:

"Due to the competitive nature of the MBA, obviously, yes, I'm applying to other schools. The binding element - or common element if you will - and the one in which I believe Cornell is especially unique within the graduate market - is size and atmosphere. I'm looking for a collegial and friendly atmosphere where students truly form meaningful bonds, not superficial networking opportunities. Cornell, in my view, sits in a league of it's own in this regard, and my conversations with alumni support this assertion. Thus, yes, I'm applying to a few other small schools as a risk mitigation strategy - but lwithout a doubt in my mind Cornell is where I want to be next year. I already feel like I belong. Now shut the *** up, and dont ask me questions like that again. You b****. "

I question that I was surprised by was "What drives you nuts?"...this was asked towards the end of the interview after the generic leadership, teamwork, why mba, why cornell questions and a thorough discussion of my career progression and resume. There was no ramp up, just "what drives you nuts... what really bothers you?".

What do you think is a better way:

17W->81N->79W

or

17W ->96N

I hate one lane roads, so right now it looks like 81N is better, but if 17 ain't bad and scenery is nice I'd take it all the way to 96N

well that's settled. are the interviews blind (i.e. only resume)? From older posts I've read someone had received some feedback about their essays from their interviewer, so my guess is the interviewer has had a chance to see the whole application?
