Revise everything that you have covered and be confident about your preparation.

gmat-anxiety-99374.html

Do read the above link.

true. i took your advice a few weeks ago and that's what I've been doing all last week and this week. Do you think I should at least attempt another CAT? Currently I'm exhausted on CAT's to take which include the GMATprep (im pretty sure I've cycled through them really well enough) as well as the MGMAT ones and have gotten mid to lower 600's on all of them. I don't really want to try the "free" one that Knewton gives your nor the Kaplan one because I have a suspecting feeling that they're all market-based so they're gonna be hard in order to try to get you to take a course or buy their books or something and ultimately cause more stress? i dont know if that makes sense? However, I feel like I need to do more than just review what I've already done because they just seem too easy right now and that I'm not pulling the most out of my time right now prior to exam date.

Like right now I just downloaded the free flash cards from MGMAT and cycling through them right now.

Comments, suggestions, recommendations welcome and will be considered. This test is literally going to be the holy grail of everything for me so I can't really mess it up because I don't want to wait 30 days and take it again. I really have a life outside the GMAT and I've given it 4 months so I need to really just pull myself together, crack 600, and move on with my life....like prepare for things that are really going to excel my career....like the CFA exam (no pun intended for GMAT obviously) :-D :-D

IMO you should'nt give CAT's, but still if you want to simulate test conditions one more time, then give gmatprep even if you have taken it number of times.

try to reason every answer why you have marked it wrongly even if you know the OA.

cool deal man. yeah like I just memorized this little chart right here that someone updated here and I found it extremely useful in gauging my time so I'll be jotting it down prior to taking the test on their little test paper when I get in the test room. And I guess you can imagine what kind of stress I'm going through. Like it's pretty intense. I just graduated with my BS in finance and I want to get into funds management and as you know, no employer is going to give some kid with a BS in finance some kind of role like that so I need to get into the MSF program @ my university or any local university that offers it around here for me to even have a fighting chance, not including the time I need to be studying for the CFA. But I don't really have much work experience so I need to make up for it by doing a little better than the average is what they told me on the GMAT so yeah, this is where they separate the boys from the men and where metal meets metal.

Its really good if you can remember all those numbers.
But if I were you, I would have used simpler numbers with an allowed range of + -2.

Time- Question
75-0
55- 10
35- 20
15- 30
5 - 36-37

bee reading your threads man, good luck.

my one and only tip: dont get hung up on one problem. Drop and move on if youre nowhere near solving it. I think that added 50 points to my score.

i'm just going to throw this one at you (not to confuse you or anything, but just to give you another option):

for math:
Q11 - 50 min
Q21 - 30 min
Q31 - 10 min

for verbal
Q11 - 55 min
Q21 - 35 min
Q31 - 15 min

so just think of the waypoints (questions) 11, 21, and 31
and remember 50-30-10 for math, 55-35-15 for verbal.

that has been my strategy. good luck; i have mine 2 days after yours! i will need the luck as well.

best of luck !
relax and give your best

I gave a CAT, T-1, I dont think anything wrong with it as long as you DO NOT let yourself get too psyched if you score a bit low or get excited if a bit high. Just be sure to tackle test day with a clear mind

yeah that's gonna be the main focus really. like i usually get a little nervous even before my practice CAT's but once I click start and after the first few problems it's balls to wall I'm full into it. Just the few minutes or hours prior that really gets me but i think i should be able to control it.
