Just want to mention what a great resource this site is. Been reading but haven't posted until now.
27 yo, just took GMAT (700) and background is Computer Science w/3.4GPA from SUNY Bing. Looking to apply to schools in NYC (Columbia, NYU) preferrably for FT F2009 but part time seems more likely from a financial standpoint.
Can anyone provide insight on the pros/cons of PT/FT for NYU (access to better recruiting, more manageable schedule, etc). I'm also weaker in the activities area as I kinda slacked off quite a bit in college. Can that sink my application? Would joining groups/clubs I'm interested in now help at all?
If I waited to apply for FT 2009 and not get accepted, I wouldnt be able to start a PT program until Fall 2009 (I dont think I can apply to both programs at once), as opposed to applying for Fall 2008 PT at NYU now.
Anyone been in a similar situation have any thoughts or advice?

NYU PT v. FT has come up a few times. Do a search and you will find a few topics with this debate.
