Hey, I am just beginning to consider this avenue of expanding my career. I am 33 years old and have 10 years work experience (5 years in an Indian law firm and 5 year as in house counsel in an MNC). Am trying to understand 1) is it too late to consider an MBA; 2) are there any other avenues/courses better suited for my skill sets and experience (e.g. global leadership program)? Thanks vm for your time.
Posted from my mobile deviceHi,
1. its not too late to consider an MBA. However, at your age and level of work experience, a two year MBA will not be the right format.
2. You should instead consider programs for senior managers. There are a few fellowship programs offered by top-ranked MBA institutes such as Stanford, MIT Sloan, LBS and USC Marshall. These will be more suited to your profile and you will have a peer group more aligned with yourself.
Just to add, you will need a GMAT score to apply to these programs.
