Hi gmatuser001234 & hopeful15,

Based on the available information, it does not appear that ANY on-site Testing Facilities for the GMAT are currently 'open' - and it's not clear when any of them will be reopening. This is meant to say that if you have your Official GMAT scheduled at a facility for some time in the next month or so, then it will probably NOT be administered as scheduled. If you're facing an immediate application deadline - and you have to take the GMAT sometime soon - then there is the option to take the at-home GMAT. While there are a number of issues with this option, if you truly have no choice, then the at-home GMAT is something to consider. You can read more about it here:

https://www.gmac.com/why-gmac/gmac-news ... oronavirus

1) Are you facing any immediate application deadlines (and if so, then what are they?)? It's worth noting that many Schools are pushing back their deadlines, so you might want to confirm what the current deadlines are before you "rush in" to take the GMAT.

Hi Rich. Thanks for your response. In my area in the US, it seems like all the April appointments have been cancelled but appointments starting on May 1st can be booked. Do you think that the tests in May won't push through?

Hi hopeful15,

Since Pearson Testing Facilities probably would not fall under the definition of 'essential services', there's no reason to assume that any Testing Facilities will reopen too soon. In addition, while certain States in the US are considering "reopening" sooner than others plan to, there's a broader question of what that would entail. Would EVERYTHING suddenly reopen? Not likely. Going a step further, if GMAC expected that Test Facilities were going to reopen rather quickly, then there wouldn't have been much need to develop the at-home GMAT option. Lastly, you also have to consider the implied 'risk' that you might put yourself in by spending hours at a Testing Facility at any point in the next several weeks (if that was even an option). This is all meant to say that I personally do not expect any Testing Facilities to administer on-site GMATs in May; obviously, right now there's no way to know how exactly all of this will play out, but if your plans depend on you taking the GMAT in May, then you will likely have to consider the at-home option.

Guys
I have tried to contact with local gmat centres in Azerbaijan, in order to make it clear.
They told me that untill the end of May none of them will be open.

Hi coroston,

Do you have a contact phone number for the Test Facility? I suspect that if that Test Center is temporarily closed for the time being, then there would be some type of automated phone message that would confirm that fact.
