IMO A

- about 1st BF
(C): 1st is a practice but it is not defended by journalist. The journalist does not defend anything in this set
(D): 1st is not evidence and it's also not against the 2nd
(E): 1st is not evidence

- about 2nd BF
(B): there's just 1 conclusion, not an intermediate conclusion and a further conclusion
