sorry on second thoughts i believe the answer should be A although i am not sure. Can some one please provide the OA.
I am choosing A because the stem says that the plume emitting the lava is stationary and as the continent slids westward I believe more and more of the plume is exposed.
Somehow i feel that the eastern side will have the largest craters because given that the plume would be of a fixed diameter as the continent will keep sliding westward most of the lava will be utilized on the eastern side.
