Grockit made videos for the Critical Reasoning questions in the Official Guide 12th Edition. Here is the link on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uf6KcO2fjFA

You will have to hunt around to see if they did the 13th Edition. I can't vouch for the quality because I haven't used them personally.

Magoosh also might have the videos for the Official guide.

Again, I can't really vouch for the quality of the content, best might be to test them out.

Cheers,
Dabral

Hi Dabral !
Thanks for sharing the link. I'll try these videos. But one thing I can straightway observe is that the solutions don't look very interactive.
I feel it's actually hard to find video solutions to official verbal problems as no testprep company is providing it for free (I couldn't get video solutions even in the paid course that I use :| ). Well , It's not hard to find threads to verbal solutions here on GMATclub. But again Video solutions are always more interactive and easier to grasp (and saves time)!

Hi solitaryreaper,

I'm sure that you can find plenty of options on YouTube, although I don't have any personal recommendations. When it comes to GMAT tactics, there's something to be said for consistency in how YOU approach the prompts. If you find that your current approach to GMAT questions isn't helping you to get to the correct answer, then you either need to practice more (and hone your skills) or some changes are warranted (you need new tactics that are easier for you to use). Trying to mishmash together a bunch of free resources might not help you though (especially if you're trying to merge different approaches/ideas).

What resources have you been using so far during your studies?

GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,
Rich

Hi Rich !
Yes , you are right. I am facing difficulty in CR.
As you mentioned I am trying both approaches simultaneously :
- practicing more
- looking for new tactics /loopholes in my approach

but this time I am practicing only the official problems, because I feel unofficial problems especially for CR/SC can sometimes skew one's learning(and they are never up to the mark). While am solving these problems I am looking for new tactics/thought process that I can replicate in future and one that can result in better accuracy.
I am using e-gmat's course for verbal. I didn't refer to any book.
Course is good for SC but I feel it's below average as far as CR is concerned.
All in all my current skill level is not helping me in CR. So I am in a lookout for better tactics or perhaps better book/course.

I agree I haven't seen any good quality video explanations for the verbal that are free, or paid for that matter.

There are two other options that I can recommend. The first one is to practice with the LSAT material. The critical reasoning on the LSAT has the same structure as on the GMAT, although it is harder. I like the Official LSATPrep book: https://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/ ... 3/gm062-02. What I found useful was the summary of concept on critical reasoning, and the official explanation of the critical reasoning questions.

The other option would be to practice with easier CR questions. A good source of this would be the old GMAT Paper tests(9 of them), the questions are in increasing order of difficulty and the first five or ten questions would be extremely helpful to see how the easier official GMAT CR questions are structured. The tests can be easily found.

Cheers,
Dabral

solitaryreaper,

For verbal OG SC video solutions, we have some pretty high quality video solutions you can find here: https://www.gmatpill.com/official-guide-gmat/

For CR, at the moment we only have a few select ones - for example, here is OG13, #9: https://www.gmatpill.com/gmat-practice-t ... stion/2217

The video for this specific CR question on genetic manipulation is available free with an account. Notice our video explanations are quite in depth.

Hi Dabral !

As you had suggested ,I arranged this book - The Official LSAT SuperPrep. I absolutely loved the theory. The theory is very concise ,and the book is written very neatly !
Many thanks to you :-D
Problems are good (in all 50 of them). I solved the first exercise with a good accuracy while for the 2nd exercise it plummeted again to 50% (may be the problems are tougher or may be I need more practice).
Well, since I certainly need more practice, I'll also try GMAT Paper tests you've mentioned.

You're a life-saver (a successful GMATclub member had previously mentioned, and I second his opinion :) ).

thanks to you for this great suggestion ! :-D :)
