Hi All,
I am little confused from the wordings of the CR problems and if we have to be inscope or out of scope in the passages or not
1. For the conclusion drawn above, which of the following must be true? ---> Are we finding assumption here? in scope?
2. The statements above if true , support which of the following? ---> is this finding conclusion and again is this in scope?
3. Which of the following statements is best supported by statements above....-> again is this conclusion
4.Which of the following can be correctly inferred?
I guess I would have made my confusion clear
Any other inputs will be welcome

Perhaps you are inferring 'in scope' to mean anything that is explicitly stated in the stimulus, and 'out of scope' to mean anything that is not. A better definition would be to take anything that brings in info from outside as truly out of scope.
1. Yes, we are finding the assumption inherent here. The assumption, by its very nature, need not be necessarily stated but needs to be true for the conclusion to be true.
2. This is about finding the conclusion. The conclusion must logically follow from the assertions or facts in the stimulus.
3. Yes, this is very similar to 2
4. This is also very similar to type 2.
