I used it before my 1st attempt... and got 500, but I also went through OG 11 and a couple of CATs... so purely this book for math might work, but verbal needs to be worked on too... and oh... I went to state university too and I have 3.8 GPA

I'm not sure what OG 11 is or CATs. How long were you out of school? I have only been out of school for a year. Will that help?

OG11 = Official GMAT Guide 11th Edition (as opposed to 10th Edition)

CAT = Computer Adaptive Test (As in GMAT, GRE etc)

I am considerably young, 24, and finished my undergrad in December 2004... Being out of school only 1.5 years helps, but I think with that factor in mind I am capable of doing much better than the 1st time.

I went through a lot of soul searching right after undergrad, facing the real world... was kind of down when took GMAT 1st time... it is a must to have a strong mental attitude during studying and the test itself, otherwise it isn't going to work... if or WHEN I reach my GMAT goal, whatever it is, I will write a huge essay about correlation of psychological state of mind and performance on a standardized test, my promise...
