Thanks Amit for your analysis ..I would like to add some of my thoughts on your analysis:-
1)the job market has fewer takers for non EU market for sure.Talking to Alumni i found that student start connecting to employers very early in the programs to cover up for the turn around time. But the situation is not as good as it used to be 2 years back ,that's what they told me.
2) in terms of investment ,it is better to look at 5 year return on investment instead of immediate gains. The opportunity cost is pretty low for cranfield and in in par with Warwick or manchester etc.US colleges will charge upto 2 time for the MBA degree there.
3)Ranking wise i also found that Cranfield is slipping .But people have rated the experience in cranfield very high and the career assistance is also highly rated among its peers.
XLRI is cheaper and also highly rated in India and i think based on your requirements you have made a right choice Amit.

Hi everyone,

I have been offered a place in the Cranfield MBA program and have been contemplating on whether to join it or not. I have heard a lot of concern about working in the UK and it is difficult for non-EU students in particular to land a job.

I have done an extensive search on the net and have seen people on either side. I would like to quote a particular an answer by Admissions Director of Judge Business school who says "Non-EU students are still receiving job offers in the UK. What has happened though is that there is a widespread perception that the UK is closed to non-EU students, when the reality is greatly different.

Yes, the UK has tightened its work visa regime but in many respects, non-EU MBA students are exempted from many aspects of the visa regime. For example, there are no caps on non-EU students, and if a non-EU student accepts a job offer during the period of their student visa, the student is not counted towards the annual quota of Tier 2 visas, nor is the employer obliged to comply with labour market testing.
"

Can anybody answer how much of a concern it really is currently is? Perhaps an answer who is near the ground reality would be in better position to answer this.

How many of you can I expect to see at the school?

Regards,

I don't know about other sectors. But getting a job in the UK banking sector could be difficult unless you have prior work exp in the sector. That's what I have heard from alumni. I am taking up the offer at Cranfield.
