Hjort, In one of my essays, I have the option to write about a significant cross-cultural experience, and explaining its impact on my life. I really only have 2 significant cross-cultural experiences and I was wondering which you thought would be a more legitimate essay topic.
1.) I took 2 months to backpack alone through Europe while in college. I toured many of the major museums, went to sporting events, stayed in local houses, hostels, etc. An obvious learning experience and eye-opening 2 months.
2.) I am getting married in January. Not getting into too many details, she is Jewish, and I am not. I have learned a lot about the Jewish culture through interaction with her family and friends. Is this something worthy of writing about?

Just for evaluation purposes, I'm a white 28 yr. old male. 760 on the GMAT. Poor gpa of 2.9 in Chemical Engineering undergrad.
