1. On applicants to confirm their application (work history, school attendance) I feel like this would be illegal but hard to prove and most adcoms probably have a closer relationship than many of us know.
2.What if someone fails a re vera or kroll check? Does this effectively bar them from applying anywhere else that uses this service or are they 'clean' until next application cycle? I would never even consider doing this but it just seems really shady that there is effectively a private company students release their info to that also contracts out to....another school. Seems like an obvious place for abusing privacy/hacking/information leak. And from what I undersatnd these are often given to Indians overseas who do not have a good grasp of the US education system/job placement and have caused background checks to go on for months for some applicants.
