If your goal is to run a hospital, then M.P.H. (Masters of Public Health) will better fir your career plan rather than a MiM. The purpose of MiM is to provide a fundamental understanding of business fields such as in Operations, Marketing etc. and would not give you a special insight into hospital management. However, if you are looking for a program which will complement your medical background and give you an overview of different aspects of management, then MiM is the program for you.
Now regarding the schools -
First of all, you will not be eligible for the Rotman MBA program with just 1 year of work experience. You would need at least 3-4 years of work experience to be qualified for admission requirement for any top business school.
In LBS, you will have to complete core courses and then choose a specialization in the later semesters. You will also get to choose electives. Duke’s program is more rigid when it comes to the choice of subjects.
