I don't understand. It is asking for value of Z

x.z.y can either be 4.8.3 or 8.4.3

So

1) is not sufficient because z can be either 8 or 4
2) is not sufficient

together sufficient because 100 digit is now 8 so number is

8.4.3

Answer C..

:( I've read "This number is odd" as "Z is odd" but "number" means XZY.
You are right.

But the given answer is A. I first agreed with your explanation.. ,in fact which was my first confusion of that "this number" means whether to be Z or the number XZY. Any other examples for this kind of question?
Then, I guess the given answer is wrong; should be C, right?
