Dan, Han and Pan paid a bill of $9600 for renovating their new flat. If Dan paid the double of what Han paid and if Pan paid an amount which is 60% of what others paid. Then what is the difference in the amount paid by Dan and Han?

D+P+H =9600
D=2H
P=0.6(H+D) = 0.6H+0.6(2H) =1.2H+0.6H =1.8H
2H+1.8H+H =9600
4.8H =9600
H=2000
D=2*2000
4000-2000 =2000
D=2H
P=0.6(H+D) = 0.6H+0.6(2H) =1.2H+0.6H =1.8H
2H+1.8H+H =9600
4.8H =9600
H=2000
D=2*2000

Dan = D
Han = H
Pan = P
D + H + P = 9600
Dan paid 2 times as much as Han so D = H*2 = 2H
2H + H + P = 9600
Pan paid 60% of the total of D+H = 3H
So P = 3H*60/100 = 180H/100 = 18H/10
3H + 18H/10 = 9600
3H + 18H/10 = 48H/10
48H/10 = 9600
Multiply 10 by each side
48H = 96000
Divide both sides by 48
H = 96000/48 = 2000
So Han paid 2000 and if Dan paid double then Han paid 4000 and 4000-2000 = 2000
Hence,
Answer = D (2000)
